If you’ve dabbled in HTML and CSS and are curious how to make websites interactive with JavaScript, this is a good workshop for you! JavaScript is an incredibly popular programming language used across the industry by software developers, data analysts, and front-end web developers. This course focuses on web development and provides a starting point for beginners who are interested in learning how to use a powerful, popular programming language. Expect to leave this workshop with a basic introduction to JavaScript and a host of tools and resources for learning more.
Prerequisites:
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS
- Computer literacy
- Comfort with navigating a laptop computer
Objectives:
- Give students an introduction to JavaScript for the Web
- Help students understand if JavaScript development is right for them
- Provide resources for continued learning
This class is intended for:
- Anyone who is interested in a career in web development, front end development, or who is just curious about Javascript.
- Anyone who already has basic website building knowledge but wants to bring their websites to the next level with JavaScript.
The course is available on a rotating basis throughout the year.

Course Level: Intermediate.
Students will receive an Introduction to JavaScript Certificate
Students who take this course can begin their journey into a software development job.
