There are two types of CareerForce partners: CareerForce Proud Partner and Community Partner. Both contribute to successful outcomes for career seekers, employers, communities and Minnesota.
CareerForce Proud Partner
What is a CareerForce Proud Partner?
A CareerForce Proud Partner is an organization that receives funding from CareerForce to provide services that meet community workforce needs, as well as the Core Programs authorized under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Proud partner services can be provided within or outside of a CareerForce location. CareerForce funding may come from the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) or the Minnesota workforce development boards.
What do they deliver?
CareerForce Proud Partners deliver a multitude of services for career seekers and employers, including:
- Career planning
- Training and education
- Search assistance for career seekers
- Wrap-around employment services
- Recruitment and retention assistance for employers
- Workforce development planning
Community Partner
What is a Community Partner?
A Community Partner is a public sector, private sector, community-based, faith-based or nonprofit organization providing employment services and resources to the public. They do not receive funding from CareerForce or any local Minnesota workforce board.
What do they deliver?
Community Partners provide a wide variety of supportive services, including:
- Employment support
- Education
- Training
- Wrap-around employment services
- Business and entrepreneurial services
