Since the American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center (AIOIC) run by president and CEO Dr. Joe Hobot started posting their Takoda Institute training sessions on the Training Program Finder on CareerForceMN.com in January 2022, they’ve seen an increase in DEED-funded training program inquiries and enrollments. Because they are tracking where people are finding out about their training programs, they were able to determine that 70% of the people inquiring about training programs found out about them through CareerForce.

“We have seen a double-digit increase in interest,” said Kimberly Ben-Haim, Director of the Takoda Institute. “We have seen a significant increase in enrollments, particularly in Digital Marketing and Project Management.”

This is what Kimberly would like to share with other training program providers who aren’t currently listing their training opportunities on the CareerForceMN.com Training Program Finder: “The time that it takes to enter the information on the website is worth it.  We have been able to share our offerings with so many more people, even if they don’t enroll. Now we have more people who know about what we do and can share our opportunities with their friends, family and coworkers.”

In late 2021, the Training Program Finder went live on CareerForceMN.com. Then in early 2022, CareerForce staff starting send out a weekly training program email to 100,000 job seekers in the metro area. Takoda Institute isn’t the only training program provider who’s seen a boost in inquiries and enrollments. Avivo and other partners have as well.
