CareerForce engages with community members at Sabathani Energy Day

CareerForce Director for Re-Entry Services, Jeremiah Carter, and Rachael Okerlund Employer Engagement Specialist with the PROWD Program for justice-involved job seekers, met with community members who stopped by the Sabathani Community Center on Saturday, September 14 for Sabathani Energy Day. They were among more than 30 employers and resource providers at the annual event, which featured information about education and career opportunities, as well as food trucks, music and activities for children. CareerForce and Xcel Energy helped coordinate the event. Xcel offered information about energy bill assistance, energy conservation and more. CareerForce offered information about career exploration and job search services, including the MnDOT/DEED Highway Heavy Construction Training and Job Placement Program.
