In CareerForce, we always strive to provide person-centered services to help people identify their career goals, prepare for good employment and engage in a successful job search. We ask all customers to share their feedback – so we can make improvements where needed and double down on what is working well. We receive dozens of customer comments each year – and we like to share some of the most inspirational ones. This year Amber Kropp from CareerForce in Brainerd is in the spotlight for her outstanding support to people she serves. Here’s what three customers had to say about Amber in recent months:
“She went above and beyond helping me with what I needed...she was available any time on the phone when I had questions and spent time to see me in person. She is an excellent employee and you are very lucky to have her, she deserves a raise!!! (And no, she is not a relative 😊) Everyone there in the Brainerd office was great, good job all around!!!!!”
“I took Amber Kropp's Resume writing call last year, I finally got a job offer and had to have an update on my resume that I totally didn't know how to do, and she nailed it! I was under pressure to get my updated resume submitted ASAP and Amber made my issue her priority, I appreciate her rapid response and swift action. Forever grateful!”
“Amber K. was a great resource with a lot of good advice. She was very knowledgeable with a lot of good ideals. Another very helpful person is Lindsay H. She gave me hope that I could still be an asset in the work place. She is very helpfully and talked me through the whole process, The teamwork from them both was a great, together they were very knowledgeable, encouraging and helpful.”
Before Amber joined the DEED CareerForce Division, she was a Dislocated Worker counselor for 16 years for a partner agency in Brainerd. That’s where she learned about many of the CareerForce services and got her start in teaching job search skills. Amber lives in the country outside Brainerd with her husband, 2 teens (who remind her that she’s not cool), and a Saint Bernard named Willow.
