Joseph was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 2016 and used the GI Bill to earn his bachelor’s degree and MBA in New York. Right out of school, he started working in in crisis management for a company with a Minnesota location.

Joseph wanted to move up and started looking for new positions while he was still employed but he wasn’t getting interviews. That all changed when he met with Jeff Dexter with CareerForce Veterans Employment Services. Jeff helped Joseph take his resume to a whole new level, showcasing the professional skills he had developed in crisis management and corporate security and the leadership roles he had taken on during his civilian employment, along with his educational credentials and military experience.

“Within a few weeks’ time, I began to hear back from employers and would go on to interview for three six-figure positions over a 45 day period,” said Joseph. “The resume advice I received was instrumental to landing these interviews, and eventually receiving an offer letter for the prestigious position of ‘Assistant Director of Crisis Management’ at [a leading hotel] in Las Vegas, Nevada, which I accepted.”

Joseph reached to CareerForce to offer his sincere thanks to Jeff for helping pursue his career goals:” I wanted to express a great deal of thanks and gratitude for the feedback Jeff provided for my resume. I am confident the resume feedback I received led to landing the interview, eventually resulting in an offer. I am tremendously grateful to Jeff for his assistance throughout my career search process, and would highly recommend the services of CareerForce to all veterans seeking career opportunities in either the private or public sector.”
