"I was looking for innovative ways to expand my job search beyond the obnoxious job boards. A friend recommended getting on LinkedIn. Knowing very little about LinkedIn, I attended Creative Job Search: Internet and Social Media (LinkedIn) virtual workshop offered through CareerForce. That is where I met Samuel Kuehl, the facilitator, who immediately increased my interest level in online networking. At the end of the class, he offered assistance to anyone who would like personalized tips in making online job search / networking (LinkedIn) less daunting. I took up his offer and reached out to him. Sam was my first connection on LinkedIn, he assisted me virtually in completing my account and demonstrated how to maximize my online job search efforts. After two months and multiple virtual sessions, I have well over 350 connections, multiple tailored resumes (with Sam's assistance), and actively receiving job offers.
