Teens learned about career exploration and planning services available to them – and had fun at the same time – at an event at CareerForce in St. Paul. CareerForce staff turned several rooms into “escape rooms” complete with a story line to follow and puzzles and clues teens needed to solve in teams as they gathered the “keys” they needed to unlock their Career Success. More than 50 young people participated in several 90-minute escape room sessions on September 16. For all but two of the teens, this was their first experience with CareerForce. Youth from diverse background and of all levels of abilities worked together to unlock career success by solving their way out of the “escape room” and vied for cool prizes like a flash drive shaped like a key. The youth seemed to really enjoy themselves and many cookies were eaten by all. Youth who attended also gained knowledge about CareerForce career exploration and planning services.
