Description
Brighter Horizons is a day center for adults with disabilities in the Brainerd area. The organization is licensed by the state of Minnesota. The center was formed in response to a recognized-need to serve adults with disabilities. The two owners/operators have 26+ a collective experience working in the Human Services field. They are professionals who are familiar with the disabled populations, the local communities, and the needs and issues which call for a center such as Brighter Horizons. Brighter Horizons serves each participant uniquely. After the application approval, the Center's owners form a team with the participant's support people, ie family, case manager, group home staff. The participant, family members, team and center staff give input to develop a plan to provide personalized services designed to meet the specific needs and preferences of the participant. It is a creative process in which all team members, along with the participant help formulate a life of meaning and purpose for the participant. The process is on-going as the participant attends the center. We strive to meet the changing needs and desires that arise. Assistance with personal cares, medication management, and health monitoring as well.

We at Brighter Horizons Adult Day Center encourage, support, and provide a safe environment for adults with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, mental illness, or any combination of these. We provide structured activities, nurturing relationships, and professional care of body, mind, and spirit. Our service exemplifies the values of acceptance, respect, compassion, empathy, patience, and flexibility.

WE are looking for responsible, caring people who have a heart for Special Needs adults. We have a large day center for our clients to spend part of their day with their peers.
STAFF would be responsible for the basic direct care of our clients. Fun activity times include various community outings (movies, bowling, out to eat, Camp Confidence, Let's Go Fishing, Mounted Eagles, the zoo, picnics, parks and so much more!) Additionally at our facility we offer clients Spa time, Dance parties, Birthday parties, crafts board games, card games and other creative activities.
CONVENIENTLY located in Brainerd, one block off HWY 210 (Washington Street). Our building is next to the Auto Zone parking lot.
Great HOURS! Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm. Other daytime shifts also available.
