Dietary Aide Training
Monday, September 8, 2025 to Friday, October 17, 2025
Monday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In person
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In person
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In person
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In person
Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In person

This program prepares students to work in food service.  Graduates find jobs in healthcare or school nutrition programs.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be born outside the US
  • Have Intermediate English
  • Able to attend all classes in person

Class topics include:

  • American Foods
  • Food Safety
  • Special Diets
  • Nutrition
  • Communication
  • Infection control

Students will be prepared for and take the ServeSafe Food Handler exam in order to earn their Food Handler Safety certificate.

How to Participate
To register for class, you must come to an in-person intake session. 

When: 

  • Every Friday
Arrive between 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Get directions.(Link is external))

No appointment is needed. Please plan to be here for at least two hours, depending on how many students are waiting. During your visit, you will take an English test and talk about your goals. Our teachers will help you start the best class for your learning level

Outcomes

Students will be prepared for and take the ServeSafe Food Handler exam in order to earn their Food Handler Safety certificate.

Graduates also receive the support of an employment navigator to help them find a job.
