There are seven compliance requirements under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) that apply to the State of Minnesota and its workforce system partners. These are:
-
Assurances—All WIOA grantees must ensure they meet Equal Opportunity/Nondiscrimination requirements.
-
Equal Opportunity Officers—Officers have clear role and responsibilities and regular training regarding their obligations under WIOA. See a list of current Equal Opportunity Officers.
-
Notice and Communication—Requirements about what and how we post information about Equal Opportunity, the right to file a complaint and how to file a complaint.
- Data and Information Collection and Maintenance—How we collect information to be reported to the U.S. Department of Labor Civil Rights Center, what information we collect and how we keep the information private.
- Affirmative Outreach—How we reach out proactively to people who need services, especially people with barriers to employment.
- Oversight Responsibilities and Monitoring—How we conduct monitoring and remedy areas out of compliance.
- Complaint Processing Procedures—Our procedures for employees, participants and members of the public to file complaints.
