There are seven compliance requirements under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) that apply to the State of Minnesota and its workforce system partners. These are:
- Assurances—All WIOA grantees must ensure they meet Equal Opportunity/Nondiscrimination requirements.
- Equal Opportunity Officers—Officers have clear role and responsibilities and regular training regarding their obligations under WIOA. . This link opens in a new browser tab.
- Notice and Communication—Requirements about what and how we post information about Equal Opportunity, the right to file a complaint and how to file a complaint.
- Data and Information Collection and Maintenance—How we collect information to be reported to the U.S. Department of Labor , what information we collect and how we keep the information private. This link opens in a new browser tab.
- Affirmative Outreach—How we reach out proactively to people who need services, especially people with barriers to employment.
- Oversight Responsibilities and Monitoring—How we conduct monitoring and remedy areas out of compliance.
- Complaint Processing Procedures—Our procedures for employees, participants and members of the public to file complaints.
