The PROWD program is a pioneering collaboration between the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It offers employers access to a motivated and skilled talent pool while providing individuals transitioning from federal correctional facilities with the tools and support needed to reintegrate successfully into the workforce. In Minnesota, PROWD is administered by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
This initiative not only helps fill critical labor gaps but also contributes to inclusive economic growth, reduces recidivism and strengthens communities across Minnesota.
