The Diesel Technician Training Program is your next step to a Diesel Technician Career that provides stability and sustainability with a living wage. Starting pay in this industry ranges between $18.00 to $22.00 per hour (wage dependent on qualifications). When your training is complete you will be eligible for interviews and networking opportunities with our employer partners, who are some of Minnesota’s top employers.  

Our 8-week Diesel Technician Training Program includes professional 21st Century skills that employers are looking for in new hires and promotions. Personal Empowerment and Emotional Intelligence is a vital part of our training and builds the confidence needed to grow your career and become financially independent.

This is a hybrid program, in- person classes will be held on site at Hennepin Technical College.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • 18 + 
  • Able to work FULL-TIME 
  • Felony friendly programming available. Felonies and misdemeanors reviewed on a case-by-case basis. No criminal sexual conduct or arson charges. 
  • Eligibility dependent on income. 
  • Must be a Minnesota resident living in the Twin Cities Metro Area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington county).
