Nursing Assistant/BLS Training

Monday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This program will be used to implement high-quality training to prepare participants to earn a Nursing Assistant certificate and begin a career in healthcare.

We pay for: 

  • Nursing Assistant Board Final Exam
  • Basic Life Support training
  • Mental Health Training
  • Free gas/bus cards & parking vouchers
  • Assistance with resume, interview, uniforms & job placement opportunities with our employer partners

Prep Class with Robbinsdale AAP:

Sept 1st & Sept 2nd // Sept 6th - Sept 9th : 9 am to 1 pm (CAPI USA South location: 3702 E Lake st. Minneapolis, MN 55406)

BLS: TBD

Mental Health portion: TBD

*This training will be done at Minneapolis College (MCTC)

How to Participate

ELIGIBILITY:

  • At and above 5th grade Reading & Math assessment level
  • Fall at or below 200% federal poverty guidelines
  • Available to attend ALL training dates
  • Able to pass DHS background checks
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S
Outcomes

Participants will exit with CNA certification as well as BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. They will go on to gain employment. While most CNAs work in nursing care facilities and hospitals, there are many different options for CNAs to explore. With this career, they will gain variety in their workday, job stability, and opportunities for advancement.
