Project for Pride for Living (PPL) is now accepting applications for our 6-week Healthcare Clerical program. North Memorial, Allina, and Children's Hospital want you on their team delivering results for patients in behind-the-scenes administrative roles. Programming prepares you to thrive with technical training on healthcare related topics like Medical Terminology and Insurance Documentation plus necessary healthcare certifications like BLS/CPR. You will also learn PPL’s unique curriculum, centered on discovering your strengths and using them to thrive in your new work place. Find yourself in a stable administrative position within the healthcare field by joining the Healthcare Clerical program starting May 9th! Eligibility requirements include the following:
- Attend Virtual Info Session
- Household Income 200% or Lower to Poverty Line
- Minnesota resident
- GED/High School Diploma
- Right to Work
- Vaccinations
- 1+ year(s) of recent admin and/or customer service experience
- Test at 6th grade or higher in Math & Reading (Proctored by PPL)
- Type at 35 WPM or higher
- Test 75% or higher in Microsoft Word and Excel Northstars (Link provided by PPL)
- Background Checks
Certifications include:
Customer service, Basic Life Support, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Type of Work includes:
Office and admin roles in healthcare setting. Staff who check in folks at the front desk, scheduling appointments over the phone, some file management, patient representative/registration, transport, HR, talent acquisition, staffing coordinator...so many options!
