- Start your career journey into the field of Human Services.
- You’ll receive training and certifications in customer service, digital literacy, business professionalism, terminology, networking opportunities, and more.
- High school diploma/GED
- Low income household eligibility
- Subject to criminal background check as positions vary in policies
- Seeking employment in Human Services
- 1 year of recent customer service experience
- Minneapolis residents preferred
Online or Virtual Information
Hybrid training. First half in-person, second half online.

TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS INCLUDES:
- Introduction and role of a Community Support Specialist in Human Services
- Northstar Digital Literacy certificates
- Customer service and terminology
- Business professionalism and leading in Human Services
- Coaching, counseling, and navigating resources
- Employer networking experience
- Average starting wage of industry employment $20-22/hour
- Wraparound support including interview clothing, fuel, or bus cards.
- Job coach & internship placement support
- For Minneapolis residents, a $100 stipend upon completion of the training program
