Program Overview
- Once accepted, this is a 2-stage, 20 week paid training.
- 4 weeks Pre-employment Initial Training by Hired ($750 stipend), while Hennepin County application is processed.
- Students who successfully complete the Hennepin County hiring process will also receive 16 weeks of paid classroom and on-the-job training as a Security Officer Trainee at $21.00/hour plus full benefits package
Requirements
- Must be at 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Have 12 months/full time equivalent of customer service experience
- Complete Hennepin County Security Officer Trainee hiring process
- At or below 200% poverty income level
- Resident of Hennepin County
Location/Schedule
This is a 2-stage, 20-week training, delivered by Hired and Hennepin County.
Stage 1: Training with Hired (September 11 – October 6, 2023).
Delivered hybrid, partially in-person and partially virtually, with some daytime and evening hours at Hired, 217 Fifth Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55401
Stage 2: Training with Hennepin County (October 9, 2023 through January 2024).
8-4:30 Monday through Friday, in-person at various Hennepin County Locations.
